Aasta R. Pedersen, MD is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine with over 14years of experience in managing orthopaedic patients. She is a surgical specialist in knee, shoulder, and hip arthroscopy. She also specializes in nonsurgical treatments such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. Sports fellowship trained at Wake Forest University. Dr. Pedersen is a Team Physician and consultant for amateur, military, and Olympic athletes. Dr. Pedersen is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. She is a Reviewer for the Journal of Arthroscopy. Dr. Pedersen is currently the Chief of Orthopaedics at McDonald Army Medical Center. She testifies for both plaintiffs and defendants in Medical Malpractice cases and Liability Cases.
