5Additional Information
I am an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and an Assistant Professor of Cancer Epidemiology at Northwestern University. I have over five years of experience as a general dermatologist and patch testing expert. My clinical practice focuses on identifying allergies patients have to personal care products and workplace exposures. These allergies include hair dye, makeup, shampoo, gloves, medicines, jewelry, metal implants, tattoos, medical devices, and occupational chemicals. I am also frequently involved in occupational medicine and disability cases due to chemical allergies and toxicity. Beyond allergies, I treat and manage common dermatologic conditions including hair loss, skin cancer, melanoma, acne, rosacea, warts, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, and eczema. I currently serve on the board of directors of the American Contact Dermatitis Society and the European Society of Tattoo and Pigment Research. I have been the site PI for several dermatology clinical trials, and my research focuses on the epidemiology and burden of toxic and allergenic chemicals. My research also investigates the rates and causes of adverse drug reactions. To date, I have published on over seventy peer-reviewed papers. Finally, each year I teach a course on environmental health and occupational medicine in the Master of Public Health program at Northwestern University. I have served as an expert and have written numerous expert opinion reports regarding occupational, allergy, and dermatologic conditions.
