Additional Information

Dr. Glen House is a board-certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician with over 35 years of personal and professional experience in spinal cord and brain injury medicine. He is subspecialty board-certified in both Spinal Cord Injury Medicine and Brain Injury Medicine, and completed a prestigious fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Dr. House’s clinical practice focuses on spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and care for complex neurological patients. He previously served as Medical Director of a Spinal Cord Injury Program, with responsibilities including direct patient care, teaching medical students and residents, and leading didactic instruction. He currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor at the Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine and as Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington School of Medicine. A C7 complete spinal cord injury sustained in college has made him a wheelchair user for more than three decades, providing him with a rare and valuable perspective on both the medical and non-medical aspects of living with a spinal cord injury. His combined clinical expertise, academic leadership, innovative work, and personal experience uniquely position him to understand and communicate the nuanced realities and requirements of living with—and treating—devastating neurological injuries and disability.
