0Additional Information
Prosthodontists are the experts at diagnosing, strategic treatment planning, executing complex dental care and have a backup plan should a patient lose a key tooth in the future. The Prosthodontist is the team leader for patient care when multiple specialties are involved because the phasing and sequencing of care is best planned by the Prosthodontist. I have over 43 years of dental practice and teaching experience. I owned and operated my practice of General Dentistry in College Station, Texas for 17 years and then sold my practice to return for a 3 year advanced training residency in the specialty of Prosthodontics at the UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska. My University-Based Prosthodontic practices have focused on esthetics, full mouth rehabilitation using both fixed and removable prosthetics with a special emphasis on dental reconstruction with dental implants. I have more than 22 years of teaching experience at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln, Nebraska teaching both the pre-doctoral students and post-doctoral residents in Prosthodontics and Periodontics. My education and experiences give me the skill-set to evaluate treatment planning, treatment rendered, outcomes and and determine if the Standard of Care has been met. My 22 years as an educator and invited lecturer domestically and internationally, has developed my skills for explaining complex dental concepts in terms that judges and juries can understand. I also help doctors decrease their exposure to litigation by a review of their practices.
