General nursing standards of care: Intensive Care Unit, Telemetry, and Medical/Surgical environments. Expert in Code Blue protocols and national standards for cardiac arrest resuscitation (BLS/ACLS). Post-op cardiac surgery management (coronary bypass, transplant, valve replacement, TAVR). Manage nursing care for acute heart attack and post-heart catheterization. Monitor and provide interventions on mechanical cardiac assist devices (Heartware, Heartmate series), intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella. Delivery of post-vascular surgery care for aortic aneurysm, fem-pop bypass, and carotid endarterectomy patients. Adept in pacemakers, implanted cardioverter-defibrillators, sepsis, septic shock, vasopressor medication management, ventilator-dependent respiratory failure, ARDS, and ECMO (V-V). Qualified in continuous renal replacement therapies (CRRT). Experienced in pulmonary, arterial, venous thromboembolisms/EKOS catheter, TPA management, invasive catheters (central venous, arterial, pulmonary artery), and critical drug overdoses. Management of severe metabolic disorders related to diabetes, liver and kidney failure and surgical recovery for whole organ transplant recipients (heart, liver, kidney). Advanced neurologic monitoring (external ventricular drains). COVID-19 direct patient care and strict guidelines pertaining to personal protective isolation protocols.
