I am a seasoned actively practicing clinician in the private practice of outpatient consultative gastroenterology/hepatology. I have been working in a collaborative GI practice with mid-levels ( APRN & PA-C ) since 1999. I am a member of the Missouri Prescription Drug monitoring task force, the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts, and I continue active certification through the ABIM in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. I am the medical director of the Midwest Physicians Surgery Center, an endoscopic ambulatory surgery center accredited by JCAHO and a recipient of the ASGE Certificate of Unit excellence in quality and outcomes. We embrace new technology in gastroenterology including AI. I am current in ACLS/BCLS certification, maintain active medical staff status at Lee's Summit Medical Center and membership in the Missouri State Medical Association and AMA. I am a veteran of the US Army Medical Corps- 1980-85. I am an outside medical consultant for the MD Board of Medicine in Arizona. My current medical practice, Midwest GI Health and it's providers, have the highest patient satisfaction rating score of all GI practices in the Kansas City area. I am currently a Fellow of the American College of Physicians ( FACP ), American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy ( FASGE ), American Gastroenterological Association ( AGAF ), and the American College of Gastroenterology ( FACG ).
