1Additional Information
Robert G. Tuck is the Founder and President of Jet Research, LLC. Since its founding in 1996, Jet Research has completed more than 900 aircraft engagements across corporate, business, and commercial aviation in over 50 countries, serving aircraft owners, flight departments, operators, lessors, financial institutions, and legal counsel. Mr. Tuck holds a FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate issued in 1989 with a clean FAA record. He is authorized as a 2-REG Fixed Wing Airworthiness Inspector (Bailiwick of Guernsey Aircraft Registry) and is a former FAA ODA Unit Member with airworthiness authorizations equivalent to DAR-T. He is a U.S. Army veteran with more than ten cumulative years of field experience in Europe working under EASA regulatory frameworks. A significant portion of his expert witness practice involves pre-purchase inspection disputes — matters in which the scope, adequacy, documentation, and return to service compliance of an inspection is contested. He has participated directly in pre-purchase transactions as the technical representative of record, providing first-hand contemporaneous experience of the disputes that reach litigation. His career progressed from licensed mechanic through production controller, maintenance manager, and maintenance director before founding Jet Research, and includes commercial airline and air freight operator experience. Mr. Tuck provides FRCP Rule 26-compliant expert reports, deposition testimony, and sworn declarations in matters involving airworthiness, maintenance documentation, MRO performance, lease transitions, and regulatory compliance under 14 CFR and applicable international frameworks. Areas of Expertise: • Aircraft maintenance — practices, standards, and workmanship • Pre-purchase inspection — scope, adequacy, documentation, and return to service compliance • Airworthiness determinations and regulatory compliance (14 CFR / EASA) • Maintenance documentation, logbooks, and records integrity • Return to service compliance — 14 CFR §43.5, §43.9, §43.13, Part 145 • MRO performance, procedures, and contract disputes • Aircraft lease acceptance and return — technical language interpretation • Maintenance program bridging and airworthiness continuity • Major and minor structural repairs and modifications (STC, FAA Form 337) • Part 91, Part 121, and Part 135 operational compliance • International regulatory frameworks: FAA, EASA, CAAC, CASA, Transport Canada • FRCP Rule 26 expert report preparation, deposition, and trial testimony
