Dr. Pisula is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with over 20,000 hours of clinical practice and experience evaluating and managing more than 40,000 patients in the emergency department setting. He currently practices full time in southern Georgia, with clinical responsibilities split between a regional medical center and a small community hospital, providing care in both high-acuity and resource-limited environments. Dr. Pisula has extensive experience as a medical expert witness and has completed reviews in over 180 medical-legal cases since 2022. He has worked with both plaintiff and defense counsel and has provided testimony at deposition and trial. He is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and has been recognized for excellence in patient care, including receipt of the 2024 Excellence in Care Award from SGMC Health. Dr. Pisula is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Mercer University with over 6,000 hours of teaching experience involving residents and medical students. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha in 2024 and was named Faculty Member of the Year in 2023 in recognition of his contributions to education, leadership, and professionalism.
