Clinical Scope: Medical and Surgical Ophthalmology including Subspecialty training in Glaucoma & expertise Cataract Surgery Dr. Kerline Marcelin is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained glaucoma specialist and surgeon. Kerline Marcelin was born and raised in New York. She received her undergraduate degree from NYU, and earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, under an awarded research grant from the National Medical Association and National Institutes of Health. Dr. Marcelin conducted her residency training in Ophthalmology at New York Univiersity Medical Center followed by a Glaucoma Diseases fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, one of the world’s leading eye treatment centers. Dr. Marcelin has practiced comprehensive ophthalmology with a sub-specialty focus on the diagnosis and management (medical and surgical) of both routine and complex glaucoma, In Westchester County, NY since 2000. Since 2010 she has been the Medical Director of Hudson Ophthalmology, a private practice in Westchester offering comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, as well as being a glaucoma consultant for other eye care professionals and patients. Dr. Marcelin has served on the teaching faculty at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Glaucoma Specialist since 2000. She also holds academic appointments at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Before entering private practice, Dr. Marcelin served as the Director of Glaucoma Services at Jacobi Hospital/ North Central Bronx Hospital Systems and Catholic Medical Center in Queens, NY. Globally, Dr. Marcelin has participated in medical missions to Haiti is a founding member of the Vision Restoration Project and presently sits on the board of directors.
