Mr. Sturm is a Director in the BRG Global Construction Advisory & Disputes practice. Mr. Sturm is engaged regarding matters of schedule delay and work disruption, losses in contractor productivity, quantum of monetary damages, claim formulation & review, cost auditing, risk management, and project administration procedures. Mr. Sturm has performed analyses on claims ranging from $1 million to $350 million and is experienced in providing expert testimony. Mr. Sturm also consults with parties in the planning, programming, control, and mitigation of project risk. His experience in prospective and forensic capacities allows him to uniquely anticipate risks and challenges prior to and during each stage of the project life cycle. Mr. Sturm is advanced in the development of best practices and procedures in the active management of significant multi‐year capital projects. Mr. Sturm accumulated his construction industry experience through employment in both contractor and owner capacities – Jacobs Engineering, Balfour Beatty, CH2M Hill, and Southern Company Gas (f/k/a AGL Resources). In these roles Mr. Sturm performed project management, contract administration, CPM scheduling, cost controls, change management, claim development and reviews, and risk mitigation for multi‐year capital programs. Mr. Sturm’s project experience includes those within the United States, Latin America, South America, and the United Kingdom. In addition to his approximately 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr. Sturm holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, and a master’s degree in construction management. Mr. Sturm has been recognized by construction industry organizations as a Planning & Scheduling Professional, a Certified Cost Professional, and a Certified Construction Auditor. Mr. Sturm is a Southeast Regional Director for the North American Chapter of the Society of Construction Law, an active member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, the National Association of Construction Auditors, and the Institute for Energy Law.
