Certified by the American Board of Pathology in both Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, Dr. Assarzadegan has extensive subspecialty training in Gastrointestinal, Liver, and Pancreas Pathology from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University. Currently serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, Dr. Assarzadegan focuses primarily on Gastrointestinal, Liver, and Pancreas Pathology. With a distinguished expertise in diverse areas, Dr. Assarzadegan excels in diagnosing inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, including gastritis, celiac disease, colitides, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's and ulcerative colitis), vasculitides, Barrett esophagus and dysplasia, as well as benign and malignant tumors of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach), liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, and pancreas, encompassing various carcinoma subtypes and precancerous lesions.
