Dr Hauge was in private neurosurgical practice in Knoxville, Tennessee for over 30 years. He has extensive experience in cranial, spinal, peripheral nerve disorders, Workers Compensation, and Gamma Knife radio-surgery. He has served as a Chief of Surgery, Chief of the Medical Staff, Medical Executive Committee member, peer review committee member and medical director of the Fort Sanders Regional Gamma Knife Center. He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery since 1994 and participates in the board’s Maintenance of Certification program. Since retiring from active practice in 2023 he has maintained an active expert witness and consulting practice. Dr Hauge is frequently asked to serve as an expert neurosurgical witness in all types of liability and medical malpractice cases.
