Clinical Forensic Medicine Expert Dr. Field is a board-certified emergency physician, a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and holds a master’s degree in forensic science. With over 30 years of clinical experience, he is highly trained in managing medical emergencies, trauma, stab and gunshot wounds, strangulation, motor vehicle accidents, dog bites, fractures, police use of force, child abuse, and injury care. As a Reserve Deputy Sheriff, he served as the medical control officer for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s SED (SWAT) team for over 25 years. He possesses small arms training, previously held a federal firearms dealer license, and is a black belt in Karate. He is also an Expert Consultant and Reviewer for the California Medical Board. Dr. Field has served as both a testifying and consulting expert in state and county superior courts, United States district courts, administrative law hearings, military courts-martial, and Title IX proceedings. He is experienced in providing behind-the-scenes support to attorneys, including record review, forensic analysis, and consultation on litigation strategy and expert discovery.
