Dr. Benjamin Kummer is a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in vascular neurology and clinical informatics. He has more than a decade of experience in acute and outpatient neurological care and serves as Director for Clinical Informatics in Neurology at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City.
Dr. Kummer’s clinical work spans the full spectrum of cerebrovascular disease, including ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, TIA, reperfusion therapy decision-making, post-stroke complications, and neurological disability assessment. He has treated and evaluated thousands of stroke and general neurology patients across high-volume academic hospitals, neuro-ICUs, and emergency departments.
