Dr Lederman is Board Certified in General Surgery and his subspecialty field of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. For 22 years, he was in a busy private colorectal surgery practice in St. Louis, MO with a focus on minimally invasive colorectal surgery. This included robotic surgery with the da Vinci robot (starting in 2009), laparoscopic surgery, and advanced transanal techniques to treat benign and malignant colorectal diseases. He has broad experience with colorectal cancer, complicated diverticulitis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, bowel obstructions, as well as anorectal disorders such as hemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas, prolapse and fecal incontinence.
