I am a practicing, board certified internal medicine physician with over 10 years of experience in nursing home, hospice and primary care medicine. I have extensive clinical and leadership experience as medical director of multiple nursing homes and hospice organizations. As part of my job responsibilities, I have participated in hundreds of interdisciplinary groups (IDGs) during which we focus on such things as falls, infections, choking, decubitus ulcers, neglect, abuse, fractures and deaths. In addition, I care for over 1,500 adult patients in my primary care office. I manage acute (urinary tract infections, pneumonia, injuries) and chronic medical conditions (hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) as well as preventative care and coordination of specialty services.
