Dr. Bernie is a fellowship trained urologic surgeon with over 20-years of clinical and surgical experience. He completed his residency in Urology at The University of California -San Diego Health and subsequently completed a one-year fellowship in Endourology at Indiana University where he developed expertise in robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and endoscopic surgery.
He has published peer-reviewed articles and in various medical journals and is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology. Dr. Bernie has been chosen as a "Top Doctor" by Castle Connolly (2018-2025), New York Magazine and Connecticut Magazine. Additionally, he has performed hundreds of utilization and clinical reviews of robotic surgical procedures and has provided his services as an expert witness in robotic and general urological cases since 2009.
