He was awarded “Resident of the Year” for three consecutive years, followed by a Chief Resident year at the same institution, in which he was granted an academic position at the University of Chicago as a clinician educator. He completed his fellowship training in Nephrology at Washington University in St. Louis.
Currently, Dr. Larson is a full-time practicing nephrologist. He is owner/partner at St. Louis Kidney Consultants and Chief of Nephrology at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. He also is the Medical Director for Renal and Dialysis Services at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and the Medical Director for two Davita Dialysis Units in the St. Louis area. In 2025, he was elected President of the Medical Staff at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
In addition, he is the Medical Director for Community Therapeutic Apheresis (CTA) which supplies Plasmapheresis services in St. Louis.
