I am an experienced pediatric neurosurgeon with decades of experience at Boston Children's Hospital, currently rated first in the nation in neurology and neurosurgery by US News and World Report. I have also worked extensively at and Brigham and Women's Hospital for adult care. I am a Full Professor of Neurosurgery at Harvard Medical School, and have a longtime interest in the biomechanical and biophysical basis of pediatric neurosurgery. I hold the Webster Family Chair in Pediatric Neurosurgery and Neuroengineering at Boston Children's Hospital. In pursuit of better devices and methods to treat pediatric and adult neurosurgery, I have 8 issued US patents for devices related to treatment of hydrocephalus and epilepsy. One of my earliest testimonies as an expert (and treating physician) is available online at https://www.courttv.com/title/6-ma-v-woodward-dr-joseph-madsen/.
