Dr. Russo was born and raised in the California Central Valley, graduated from Merced High School, and attended UC Berkeley studying psychology, neuroscience, and pre-medical studies. Prior to matriculation to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center-Fort Worth, he also worked in public health at the Sonoma County Health Department. After completing concomitant degrees in medicine, public health, and clinical research he moved on to graduate medical training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic. Finally, he finished his training in Pain Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine before relocating to Hood River. Dr. Russo has been in active practice in Hood River, Oregon focusing on comprehensive and interventional pain management, rehabilitation medicine, and non-operative orthopedics.

She is also the fellowship program director for regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine. She supervises and teaches fellow physicians, resident physicians, medical students, and nurse anesthetists on a daily basis.
Dr. Graff currently serves as the perioperative pain management lead for the University of Pennsylvania Health System's Opioid Task Force, for all six hospitals under the health system.
