I am board certified by the AAO in ophthalmology with dual fellowships in oculoplastics and cataract surgery. Institutions where I studied included the University of Chicago, Wills Eye Institute, McGill University, and Universite de Montreal. Upon settlng up a private office in Chicago, I was offered faculty positions at the Illinois Eye Institute and the University of Chicago. In honor of my time there, I recently bestowed a major gift to the University. My career arc was private practice oriented with many "firsts," earning me the moniker Eyecon among some peers.
