Dr. Carolyn Carman has over 30 years of experience in comprehensive eye care for all ages and specializes in visual impairment due to ocular injury, ocular disease, or brain injury. She has been involved in expert witness testimony for over 20 years and serves both plaintiff and defense counsel. She is a residency-certified, licensed, practicing Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist in Texas and is a Board Certified/Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Carman is a former University of Houston Clinical Professor and Clinic Director.
Dr. Carman is the former Chair of the Texas Optometry Board after receiving 2 Texas Governor appointments. She has served as Chair of multiple national committees including the American Optometric Association Neuro-Optometric Committee, was awarded the Texas Rehabilitation Association Physician of the Year, the Texas Optometric Association Young Optometrist of the Year as well as the Molly Brown Leadership Awards.
