Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) in the emergency department is my area of expertise. I have personally performed and reviewed over five thousand POCUS exams in the last six years. If done correctly POCUS can identify or exclude a multitude of critical medical conditions including myocardial infarction, thoracic and abdominal aortic dissection, pulmonary embolism, and septic shock among others. If the performance, interpretation, or absence of a POCUS impacts your ability to advocate for your client, then my significant experience in emergent POCUS will benefit you. My qualifications include being a Cook County residency-trained, board-certified Emergency Medicine physician with over 25 years of clinical experience.
